Reflection 7 : Curriculum theory and practice



In this chapter about curriculum theory and practice, it has four ways of approaching curriculum theory and practice.

1) Curriculun as a syallabus to be transmitted

2) Curriculum as product

3) Curriculum as process
4) Curriculum as praxis ( practice)

This four approaches is very important to us before we design the curriculum. We have to understand each of the approaches so that we can choose our approaches. So for our group assignment, we choose to use curriculum as praxis ( practice ) as our approaches. Why we choose this? It is because it can let learners get experineces of the learning. Thus, it also let the learners experience through " dialogue and negotiation, recognize them both as problematic. Other than this, it allow students and teacher together confront the real problems on their relationship.
