Reflection 8 : Curriculum implementation ( developing curriculum)


Definition of curriculum - Curriculum implementation entails putting into practice the officially prescribed courses of study, syallabuse and knowledge or experience. Curriculum implementation cannot take place without the learner. Implementation takes place as the learner acquire the planned or intended experiences, knowledge, skill, ideals and attitudes that are aimed at enabling the same learner to function effectively in a society.

From this topic, this is the following 5 aspects that we have to think to develop the curriculum.

1) Curriculum component

2) Curriculum contents

3) How to select content?

4)How contents are organized?

5) What criteria for selecting content?

  After discussed the topic, I understand more about the following aspects and what we should consider to develop the curriculum. Other than this, we finally complete our group assignment and submit to madam already.

  The next reflection i will research is about the six following items that include behaviorist theory of learning, Jean piaget stages(cognitive development ) , Lawrence kohlberg(six developmental type of moral development), Vygotsky (zpd), Howard Gardner(theory of Multi Intelligience ) and lastly Maslow theory of human needs hierarchy to understand more about it.
